The beauty and skin care benefits of a body wrap are well known, but did you know that you can treat yourself to this spa treatment in the comfort of your own home? Body wraps are easy to do once you know how, and you can save yourself a lot of money by doing it yourself. The ingredients in this body wrap add a touch of indulgence, and are not only luxurious but are actually good for your skin as well.

Ingredients:

0.5 Cup dark chocolate

5 Strawberries

0.5 of Champagne or Sparkling Wine

1.5 Tablespoons of Honey

Instructions

Making the Body Wrap

Step 1: Blend the strawberries, champagne and honey together.

Step:2 Melt the chocolate and then mix into the fruit, champagne and honey pulp.

Using the Wrap

1. Treat yourself to a shower or bath before using the body wrap, and exfoliate as well to remove any dead skin cells. It will help the ingredients to work their way into your skin so you can get the full benefit.

2. Apply the paste all over your body using a large paintbrush. It’s best to start at your feet and work your way up. If you have a partner who’s willing to help, get them to do your back and other hard-to-reach areas. Don’t apply the paste to your face. Stop at the neck for the best results.

3. Let the paste do its work for 15 minutes and keep a small spray bottle filled with water nearby so you can spritz yourself every now and again to keep the paste moist. Keeping the paste moist just makes it easier to remove later on.

4. Once you’re ready to remove the wrap, get into a warm shower or bath and wash it off. Use a moisturizer afterwards to help lock in all the benefits of the wrap ingredients.

This body wrap is a great way to treat yourself to a little pampering, even for those of us on a budget. It can be a fun activity for partners as well, and the chocolate, strawberry and champagne scents add a touch of luxury. Many of us will never visit a spa to have a body wrap done, but there’s no reason why we can’t do it ourselves. The chocolate in this body wrap is a also good way to indulge in the things we love without it going straight to our thighs!
